JML Engraving is a local engraving shop that has been in the Manhattan community for 7 years! The Shop Manager position is a true combination of hands-on creativity and business administration. This position will not only be focused on helping customers, but also have the chance to engrave and complete projects. Therefore, this person must be able to delegate and prioritize tasks in accordance of importance and take responsibility. We pride ourselves on not micro-managing our employees and want to keep it that way, which is why the new manager must be self-motivated and have a good work ethic.
This is a full-time position and the manager would be expected to operate the store
Monday – Friday 9am – 5:30pm
Duties & Responsibilities
- Build Customer Relationships and Connections
- Main point of contact via email ordering
- Greet and assist customers in store
- Care about people!
- Responsible for keeping track of all orders and completing on time
- Order product/Inventory and work with manufacturing
- Attend networking events
- Social Media Management
- Setup artwork/graphics and engrave orders
- Open & Close store
- Invoice & record payments
- Understand and work with licensing for specific entities
Qualifications
- Good with computers & machinery, ability to learn softwares, and utilize social media
- Bonus: Experience in coreldraw, social media marketing/advertising
- Interpersonal relationship skills
- Be able to guide customers by paying attention to verbal and nonverbal cues
- Must have relevant experience
- 2-5 Years managerial experience
- Could be a combination of work experience and education
- Retail/Small Business experience
- Eager to provide quality service and an interest in artwork/engraving
Compensation (Based on Experience)
- $15-18/hour
- 2 Weeks Vacation
